Purpose:
Fellowship is one of the most prestigious honors granted to members of professional societies and is the ultimate recognition of professional achievement. The purpose of implementing a fellowship program within ASTCT is to formalize the recognition of outstanding achievement by members and encourage continued engagement by new members. The FASTCT designation shall be granted to members of the Society who have made a significant contribution(s) to the field of Hematopoietic transplantation and cellular therapy. There will be no limit on the number of those with the FASTCT designation.
Eligibility Requirements:
The eligibility requirements for the Fellows of ASTCT are detailed in the attached document. In summary, ASTCT members who have achieved the designated number of points, acquired through various volunteer and engagement opportunities, are eligible for the following designations:
- ASTCT Diplomat: 25 Points
- ASTCT Envoy: 50 Points
- Fellow of ASTCT (FASTCT): 100 Points
Applicants must hold an Active ASTCT membership at the time of application to the FASTCT Program.
Application Process:
FASTCT applications will open 1 week following the Tandem Meetings | Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT and CIMBTR and remain open until the last week of January each year. Applicants will be required to submit the following at the time of application using the FASTCT Application Portal:
- Proof of ASTCT Membership
- Breakdown of FASTCT points accrued with documentation for the following:
- Proof of meeting registration for events prior to the year 2015
- Proof of donation to ASTCT prior to the year 2015
Review Process:
The ASTCT Membership committee reviews and approves FASTCT applicants once annually prior to the Tandem Meetings | Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR. ASTCT staff will vet applications prior to Membership Committee review to ensure each application adheres to the approved points structure. Final approval will be the responsibility of the Executive Committee. Fellows will be notified at least one month in advance of the annual meeting and are encouraged to attend.
Benefits and Recognition:
Once awarded, Fellows of ASTCT will receive the following benefits:
- Use of the letters F.A.S.T.C.T after their name
- Name published on the ASTCT website
- Recognition at the ASTCT booth during the Tandem Meetings | Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR
