International Trainee Observership

The ASTCT International Trainee Observership Program provides one international trainee from a low/mid-income country the opportunity to participate in a four-week observership at the University of Illinois Chicago from Monday, February 22 to Friday, March 26.
Scholars will also have the opportunity to attend the 2027 Tandem Meetings of ASTCT & CIBMTR in Orlando, Florida to begin the observership.
Applications will be due Sunday, May 24 and notices with application updates will be provided by early July at latest.

Tandem Meetings Attendance Grants
Applications open fall 2026.
ASTCT awards a number of grants to cover expenses to attend the Tandem Meetings | Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT® and CIBMTR®. Several of these awards are given by the ASTCT Committee on Diversity and Inclusion to applicants who self-identify as underrepresented minorities. Applications open in the dall of each year and are disbursed immediately following the Meetings. Accepted applicants receive waived registration to the Meetings.
SIG Tandem Travel Grants - Nursing, APP, Social Work, and Pharmacy

In order to allay prohibitive costs and grow ASTCT's Affiliate membership, the Society is pleased to offer travel grants for members of the Nursing, APP, Biobehavioral, Social Work, and Pharmacy SIGs to the 2027 Tandem Meetings of ASTCT® and CIBMTR®. This program will offer two travel grants of $1,500 and waived meeting registration.
2027 Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation Travel Grant Awards

ASTCT is excited to continue our partnership with the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation (JGCF), providing travel grants to young investigators focused on advancing treatments for pediatric patients in hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
This award celebrates researchers whose innovative contributions and dedication are transforming the understanding and treatment of young patients, fostering progress that brings hope and life-changing impacts to children and their families. Recognizing excellence in both scientific achievement and clinical promise, this award aims to highlight and support those pushing boundaries in pediatric HCT/CT research.
Together, ASTCT and JGCF, will provide (10) travel grants in the amount of $3,000 to support costs of travel to Orlando, FL to attend the 2027 Tandem Meetings on February 17-20, 2027.
