The ASTCT-NMDP ACCESS Initiative

The American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT®) and NMDPSM formed the ACCESS Initiative to address access and outcome disparities in the hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cell therapy (CT) ecosystem.

2025 ACCESS Initiative Workshop

Workshop: On July 29-30, 2025, ACCESS leadership, key contributors, and industry professionals will convene in Minneapolis, MN for the 4th Annual ACCESS Initiative Workshop. This event will provide a platform to discuss the status of the ACCESS initiative, including ongoing projects and future objectives.

Overcoming Barriers to HCT Webinar

On October 17, 2023, NMDP/Be the Match hosted a webinar on the goals of the ACCESS Initiative, barriers to HCT and cell therapy care, proposed strategies to overcome those baririers and ideas for how transplant centers and community hematology/oncology providers can work together to improve access to HCT and cell therapy for those who need it.
