ASTCT CLINICAL CASE FORUM

The ASTCT Clinical Case Forum serves as a resource for BMT specialists to collaborate with colleagues throughout the world. The Forum’s intent is for members to be able to post challenging cases and obtain quick feedback from colleagues at other institutions and leading specialists. All participants should review the Clinical Case Forum Rules and Guidelines.

Discussion Categories

Please see below for a current list of all current discussion categories. To participate in a discussion, click on the desired category and click the "Join Community" button. This will enable you to post and respond to messages, add or comment on files, and configure your notification preferences.

Lead a Discussion

If there is a specialty or topic you would like to see included in the Clinical Case Forum that is not listed below, you can volunteer to serve as a Discussion Leader in a new topic community. Please contact info@astct.org for more information on additional topics.

How to Post a Question

To participate, you must be a member of the relevant Clinical Case Forum community. Once you have joined the Clinical Case Forum community, you can participate in two ways.

  1. Log in and Participate Online
    Log in to your ASTCT account and navigate to the Clinical Case Forum page. Click the name of the relevant Clinical Case Forum to navigate to the community home page. Scroll down to the Discussion Forum section, or click the "Discussion" tab. Click the "Post to This Discussion" button to begin your post. You will be required to add a title to your post. The text editor has standard formatting options, if you wish to add links, images, or other text formatting. You will also see an option to add attachments if there are files you want to share with the group. You can also modify your signature before clicking "Send" to publish your post.
  2. Participate via Email
    Each Clinical Case Forum community has a designated email address which can be used to publish posts to the online forum. You can visit the community homepage for each Clinical Case Forum topic to find this email address. Please note: you must be a member of the community for your email post to publish in the forum. You can add an attachment to your email if there are files you want to share with your post.

Manage Your Email Preferences

You can configure your email preferences for each SIG community, depending on how frequently you want to receive updates. You have a few options for notification settings.

  • Real Time - Receive an email every time someone posts to the community forum.
  • Daily Digest - Receive one email a day with a digest of all posts. If there are no posts on a given day, you will not receive an email.
  • No Emails - You will not receive any updates via email. You can still participate and view posts by logging in to the online community.

To update these settings, visit the Clinical Case Forum community home page and click the "Settings" button next to the community name. Select the setting which best applies to you and click save. You can change your preferences at any time.
